How Do We Manufacture Custom Printed Glassine Papers & Bags?

We use wood from trees and break it down into tiny fibers called pulp. All the sticky stuff (lignin) is removed, so the paper stays smooth and clear and doesn’t turn yellow.
The pulp is mixed with water and spread onto a wire screen. Water drains out, and the fibers stick together to make thin, soft sheets of paper.
The paper sheets are pressed and dried, then rolled many times between heavy, hot rollers.
Special printing machines use inks that work on the smooth glassine surface.
The printed glassine paper is cut into the right shapes and sizes using special cutting tools.
Then coatings are added to make the paper even more water- or grease-resistant.
